Amazon follows up Fire TV with Fire TV Stick

As if the micro console Fire TV wasn't enough, Amazon also has a Stick version to compete with Google's Chromecast. It features a dual-core processor, 1GB RAM which is double the memory of Chromecast plus 8GB storage, dual-band, dual-antenna (MIMO) Wi-Fi for fast data, and exclusive features like ASAP for instant streaming.



It comes with remote control or you can use your phone as a remote with the free mobile app that includes voice search. Unlike Sony's PlayStation TV, it includes pretty much all services, including Netflix, Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, WatchESPN, NBA Game Time, Prime Music, Pandora, Spotify, and more For two days, Prime members can get it for just $19 for a couple of days, no sign of a European launch yet.



It provides 1080p streaming video, Dolby Digital Plus audio. The Fire Stick is easy to set up and use, it arrives pre-registered so you can simply plug it in and start streaming in minutes. You can also mirror your phone's display and use Amazon's X-Ray features and play casual games on it.
