Since we can't get the Nexus Player in Europe (yet), I'll have to leave it to some Americans to do the first reviews. First up is an MIT Tech Review piece calling it "Half Baked" attempt at taking over the living room. Engadget calls it "imperfect", while Mashable says it "fails to stand apart from the crowd" - what crowd exactly? If you want to hear from someone other than the usual suspects then Weeder has a decent review.
A little more prosaic is this Liliputing video review guiding us through the interface, features, sideloading of app and games. Plus a run through of some of the apps that come pre-loaded with Google's gaming/media puck. Will you really use the voice search through the remote mic to find content?
