Vimeo coming to Chromecast, looks at the big streaming picture

In a recent CNET interview, Vimeo's Andrew Pile talked about the challenges of streaming video content to so many devices. The company also recently redesigned its mobile site to make it easier to access content through those devices.

But the major piece of good news is that the often asked for Vimeo app for Chromecast is on the way, at some point.  The company premieres lots of indie and niche content, with recent launches including music documentary Beautiful Noise and A Film About Coffee both getting their online first shows through the service. Hal Hartley's Ned Rifle is a cool looking indie film arriving early next year.
