Following Europe's lead a couple of month's back, the PlayStation TV micro console is down to $40 at the likes of Gamestop, and Amazon is cutting its prices too (already sold out - other retailers prices being shown). That's as Sony (having written down the value of the device in its last quarterly financials) now tries to get clear stock.
They're being snapped up fast, selling out in seconds last time Amazon had a flash sale, showing there is a keen market for the hyper-niche, next-to-no-useful apps, game-limited device. Presumably lots of people want to play Killzone Mercenary and Persona 4 Golden on a big screen.
