After the teasing with the logo, ultimately there was no fourth generation Apple TV on show at WWDC. Perhaps Apple already too much going on, it was quite a packed keynote, and the company also gave minimal info about the smart home features that are supposed to be a big part of the new Apple TV unit.
Instead, the word is we can look forward to a dedicated summer event that will probably cover the Apple TV, smart home and gaming markets in one fell swoop, with a level of focus that Apple couldn't really manage in its usual keynotes. Hopefully gaming will be a big part of the show, and in the new Apple TV has the gaming chops, perhaps more mainstream titles will appear.
